Creepy Cocktails for Halloween October 28 2016
Halloween celebrations are just around the corner, which means kids will dress in the most popular character of the year to head out on the town for some trick or treating, while adults make plans to attend a party, host a get together, or cozy up for a thriller movie. Even if you're staying in, who says you can't be a little festive with a stirred up concoction to celebrate the scariest day of the year? Believe us when we say there are no tricks, just treats with these 3 grown-up sips. Things are about to get boo-zy, all over our Zera Serving Tray.
Prepare the tarragon simple syrup by placing 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water in a small saucepan. Heat over medium-low heat until it reaches a low boil. Add two springs of fresh tarragon and reduce heat to low. Hear for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove tarragon and allow syrup to cool. Place two blackberries on each lavender spring and set aside. Tip: for best results, insert a toothpick through blackberry first to make a small hole for lavender stem. Cut and juice lemon. Strain to remove pulp, if desired. Add spirits, syrups and juice to a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake until very cold. Pour drink into beakers, add a small piece of dry ice and a lavender-blackberry skewer.
3/4 tomato juice
3 tablespoons tequila
2 tablespoons lime juice + lime wedge
1 tablespoon hot sauce of your choice
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
In a liquid measuring cup or medium bowl, combine the tomato juice, tequila, lime juice, hot sauce, Worcestershire, and celery salt if using; stir well. Serve over ice. Thread the lime wedge.
In a cocktail shaker, combine the pomegranate juice, vodka, and Chambord. Shake to combine. Place 1 chunk dry ice into the bottom of each glass. Pour the martini over a very small piece of dry ice.
